Seattle’s newest life sciences building, 222 Fifth, has reached a major milestone as it tops off at 10 stories and 197,919 square feet in the bustling South Lake Union neighborhood. The project is owned by Lincoln Property Company and Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation and was recently celebrated with a ceremony attended by the general contractor MEP.
CBRE’s Healthcare & Life Sciences Group is overseeing leasing for the property with Senior Vice Presidents Paul Carr and Marcus Yamamoto leading the charge. Located next to Seattle Center Space Needle, 222 Fifth boasts three floors of top-of-the-line Class A laboratory suites ranging from 11,222 to 26,696 square feet each. These suites can also be combined for a total of up to an impressive contiguous built-out lab space measuring at approximately73 ,663 square feet.
According to Carr: “This project seamlessly connects South Lake Union with Seattle Center through its provision of high-quality lab space that will undoubtedly enhance Seattle’s already thriving life science community.” With an expected completion date set for August2024 , progress continues on this exciting addition to Seattle’s landscape.
