"Scottsdale Campus Development Approved for Axon Greenlight"

The Scottsdale Planning and Zoning Commission has approved Axon Enterprise’s zoning plans for their new headquarters and mixed-use project. The company, known for producing Tasers and other law enforcement tools, revised their original proposal of 2,552 rental units to 1,965. Along with the residential units, the plan also includes approximately 50,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space as well as a 435-room hotel.

The first phase of development will coincide with obtaining permits for their planned 400,000-square-foot headquarters building. This initial phase will consist of constructing a total of 231 residential units in addition to the hotel. The second phase is scheduled to include an additional 365 condos and another set of residential units totaling at least262 by no earlier than2027.The third stage is expectedto feature390 moreunitsandwill not commence untilatleast2028.Finally,the lastphaseofdevelopmentisplannedtobeginnoearlierthan2029andwillinclude717moreunits.

Axon currently ranks as the eighth largest employer in Scottsdale,and they anticipate employing up to1 ,500 individuals once construction onthe campusis complete.This recent approval allows Axonto move forwardwiththeirplansfortheScottsdalesiteaspartoftheirongoingexpansionefforts.Thisisanexcitingopportunityforboththecompanyandthecommunity,andwe lookforwardtoseeingthisprojectcometolifeinthenearfuture.
