**Scottsdale Approves 189-Unit Apartment Complex at Shea Boulevard**
The City of Scottsdale has granted approval to DPC for the construction of a new 189-unit apartment community on approximately 8.5 acres at 7000 E. Shea Blvd. The development aims to pay homage to renowned Arizona artist Paolo Soleri, with plans to name the project after him and feature an on-site art gallery honoring his legacy.
DPC is partnering with High Street Residential, a subsidiary of Trammell Crow Company, to develop the residential complex. ESG has been selected as the architect, while Sustainability Engineering Group will serve as the civil engineer on the project.
The site currently includes a retail center that is experiencing a 33% vacancy rate, which the new development may help to revitalize.
DPC is no stranger to large-scale development. Its portfolio includes the mixed-use Scottsdale Entrada development and Park at San Tan in Chandler. Earlier in 2024, Chandler’s Planning and Zoning Commission approved DPC’s 327,776-square-foot Chandler Innovation Center. Also this year, in March, DPC sold the 350,000-square-foot, 25-story 3200 Central office tower to California-based Younan Properties for $24.5 million.
