Scoop N Scootery, an ice cream franchise that has grown to 10 locations across seven states, is set to establish its first New York City shop on Bleecker Street. The company has committed to a long-term retail lease at 162 Bleecker St., marking its entry into one of the city’s best-known shopping corridors. The deal provides the brand with a new urban storefront as it extends its footprint beyond its existing markets.
The lease covers 1,325 square feet of ground-floor retail space, positioning the concept directly at street level. Scoop N Scootery plans to open the location in September 2026, giving the tenant time to build out and brand the store ahead of its debut. The commitment reflects a sizable time horizon, as the lease term runs for 15 years.
Lee & Associates NYC arranged the retail lease on behalf of the landlord at 162 Bleecker St. Principal Mark Kapnick worked on the transaction alongside associate director Jordan Cohen, representing landlord Acram Group. On the tenant side, Lucas Kooyman of AMPS represented Scoop N Scootery in negotiations.
Kapnick described New York City as a milestone market for expanding retail brands and characterized Bleecker Street as an especially visible choice for a first location. He noted that Scoop N Scootery was seeking a setting that would quickly raise its profile in a nationally recognized retail corridor. According to his comments, the tenant was focused on pedestrian activity levels, the concentration of food-and-beverage operators and the tight availability of space along the street.
Those factors, including strong foot traffic and limited vacancy, were cited as reasons Bleecker Street aligned with the tenant’s objectives. The new lease adds another food-and-beverage offering to the corridor’s existing mix and secures a long-term occupant for the ground-floor space at 162 Bleecker St. Once the store opens in September 2026, Scoop N Scootery will have a physical presence in New York City for the first time, supported by a multi-year lease that anchors its initial expansion into this market.
