The Scion Group, a Chicago-based student housing owner and operator, has recently introduced its new service called Strategic Housing Planning. This innovative planning process aims to assist colleges and universities in making strategic decisions regarding their on-campus housing programs.
According to Jay Pearlman, Senior Vice President of Scion Advisory Services, the company developed this option as an alternative to traditional single-building feasibility studies. The Strategic Housing Plan offers a comprehensive evaluation of the entire campus housing program rather than just one building. It provides valuable insights at a reduced cost and in a shorter timeframe compared to full facilities condition assessments or design exercises.
Unlike other feasibility or demand studies that focus on individual residential facilities, Scion’s service takes into account the needs, challenges, and opportunities across the entire campus housing system. Additionally,it also serves as an initial step for institutions considering alternative financing options such as public-private partnerships.
This announcement marks another milestone for The Scion Group’s commitment towards providing expert solutions for higher education institutions’ unique needs.
