**Portland’s Historic Schoolhouse Factory Building Listed for Lease or Sale**
The iconic Schoolhouse Factory Building located at 2181 NW Nicolai Street in Portland, Oregon, is now officially on the market for lease or sale. The historic four-story, 125,000-square-foot structure has served as the headquarters, manufacturing facility, and showroom for Schoolhouse Electric, a company specializing in lighting and lifestyle goods.
Cushman & Wakefield Managing Director Brad Carnese is leading the marketing campaign for the property, with an emphasis on attracting either tenants or owner-occupants.
“The property has been a treasured part of Portland’s proud business and architectural past, and we expect it will continue to serve as an adored part of the city’s future built environment,” said Carnese.
Originally constructed in 1910, the building was designed by renowned architect John Virginius Bennes. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Pacific Hardware & Steel Company Warehouse.
