**Savills Brokers Nearly 10,000-Square-Foot Dual Office Lease in Virginia**
Savills has successfully brokered two office leases totaling nearly 10,000 square feet at 2600 Park Tower Drive, also known as Metro Place II, located in Merrifield, Virginia. The leases were signed on behalf of U.S. subsidiaries of Rheinmetall, a global defense and technology group.
American Rheinmetall Defense has secured a 3,486-square-foot space, while American Rheinmetall Munitions—one of the company’s specialized operating divisions—will occupy 6,000 square feet on a separate floor within the building.
The long-term leases at the Metro Place II tower, owned by COPT Defense Properties, underscore Rheinmetall’s rapid expansion in the United States. This growth reflects the company’s commitment to investing in its domestic industrial footprint, enhancing engineering capabilities, and increasing its American workforce.
Ken Biberaj, Executive Managing Director, and Nick DiChiara, Managing Director at Savills, represented Rheinmetall in the lease transactions. Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, COPT Defense Properties.
Metro Place II is a Class-A, nearly 250,000-square-foot office building constructed in 1999. The property features 950 on-site parking spaces, a tenant-exclusive conference facility, a lounge, a fitness center, and is conveniently located near the Dunn Loring-Merrifield Metro station.
