### Savannah Leads Nation’s Warehouse Pipeline

Savannah has emerged as the leader in warehouse development for 2025, with 24.7 million square feet of industrial space currently under construction, according to the latest industrial survey by **Commercial Edge**. This expansion will increase the market’s total capacity by nearly 17%, making it the top-growing market in terms of new development.

A significant portion of this pipeline is driven by Hyundai’s massive 17-million-square-foot electric vehicle plant. However, despite this major project, the market has experienced an 18% decline in total space under construction compared to the beginning of last year.

As the fifth-largest port in the United States and home to the nation’s largest single container terminal, Savannah plays a crucial role in the East Coast’s logistics network. The region’s capabilities have been further boosted by a $200-million expansion of the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. Hyundai’s selection of Savannah for its $7.6-billion electric vehicle manufacturing facility not only reinforces the city’s industrial significance but also drives local employment and stimulates further warehouse development.
