Town Hall, a beloved San Francisco restaurant located at 342 Howard St., will soon undergo a change in ownership. After nearly 20 years of success, chefs and owners Mitchell and Steven Rosenthal, along with co-owner Bjorn Kock, have decided to pass the torch to renowned chef Tyler Florence.
In early 2024, Town Hall’s next chapter will begin as Chef Florence partners with real estate investment firm DivcoWest. The firm owns both the restaurant and adjacent Class A office building at 199 Fremont. Under Chef Florence’s leadership, Town Hall will be reintroduced with a new concept that reflects his celebrated expertise in the hospitality industry.
According to Eric Lupinski of DivcoWest: “We are grateful for all the wonderful memories that Town Hall has provided over the years. We are thrilled that Tyler Florence has chosen our evolving East Cut neighborhood for his next venture.” With his esteemed reputation in mind, we eagerly anticipate introducing Chef Florence’s innovative vision to our community.
