"San Francisco Headquarters of Wells Fargo to be Sold in Planned Transaction"

Wells Fargo is looking to sell its San Francisco headquarters located at 420 Montgomery St. in the coming month and consolidate its operations at a different location, specifically 333 Market St., where they currently lease 620,000 square feet of space. According to a report from the San Francisco Business Times on Thursday, this decision has sparked speculation that Wells Fargo may follow other California-based companies in relocating to Texas.

Despite these moves, Wells Fargo has stated that it remains committed to staying in the city where it was founded back in 1852. A spokesperson for the bank told the Business Times that their corporate headquarters will remain in San Francisco and there are no plans to move it elsewhere.

However, according to reports from The Business Times , Wells Fargo is investing $455 million into building an office campus spanning over 850,000 square feet in Las Colinas – a master-planned community located within Irving,Texas. This new campus is expected be completed by late-2025.
