San Antonio Landmark Hotel Opening After 100 Years

The long-awaited Aiden by Best Western @ San Antonio River Walk is almost ready for business. Despite the pandemic, supply chain issues and budget overruns, the newly revamped Best Western in St. Paul Square will reopen at the end of May.
A partnership between local group Weinritter Realty and Hagee Hospitality Group has created this 79-room boutique brand – it’s tenth example in America and second in Texas. The average room boasts 400 square feet while a presidential suite can be found on its fifth floor; plans are also underway to open a basement-level speakeasy by year’s end.
Nightly rates are expected to run into the $200’s once operations begin running smoothly again .
The building itself was constructed back 1910 as George Icke & Bros grocery store – now 100 years later it stands as an iconic landmark with modern amenities for all guests to enjoy!
