Home Depot has recently announced the construction of four distribution centers across the country, specifically catering to professional customers. One of these centers will be located in San Antonio, occupying a 400,000-square-foot space in Elmendorf. The company plans to hire 75-100 employees for this facility.
According to a recent press release, these new distribution centers will stock large and bulky items such as lumber, insulation and roofing shingles. With multiple distribution centers stocking various types of products, professionals can easily order job lot quantities directly from their job sites. Chip Devine from Home Depot stated that this network is just one aspect of their comprehensive ecosystem designed to meet the needs of their valued customers.
The San Antonio-area facility is expected to open by mid-2024.
