San Antonio Auto Industry Wins Major Award

San Antonio’s auto manufacturing industry is experiencing an expansion with the landing of a Toyota manufacturing plant and the restart of DeLorean. The city will also be home to a new electric vehicle parts manufacturing plant at Brooks Global Crossing, according to reports from San Antonio Business Journal.

The name of this company has yet to be disclosed until it gets closer to move in, however officials with Transwestern Real Estate Services and Cambridge Development have confirmed that it will occupy more than 150,500 square feet in Building 2 which is currently under construction.

Brooks Global Crossing is a class A industrial campus located on the site of the former Air Force base and Building 2 for this new company is scheduled for completion by second quarter 2024. Meanwhile, Building 1 offers 663,280-square-foot cross-dock design featuring 130 dock doors along with 40 foot clear heights plus ample car and trailer parking spaces available for lease now.

This news marks another milestone in San Antonio’s thriving auto industry as businesses continue taking advantage of its growing infrastructure opportunities within its borders
