"Sale of Proposed Rock Hill Chip Plant"

Pallidus, a company that specializes in semiconductors, had previously announced plans to construct a new plant and offices at 1786 and 1800 Overview Drive in Rock Hill. The project was estimated to cost $443 million and would have created over 400 job opportunities.

However, according to the Charlotte Business Journal, Pallidus decided not to move forward with the project last October. As a result of this decision, they laid off almost half of their workforce. Now, the two buildings are available for sale once again under Avison Young’s marketing team led by Chris Loyd,Tom Tropeano,and Henry Lobb. These properties are owned by Calare Properties.
