"Sale of Former Cypress Shooting Range Property"

A 48-acre property in the Cypress area, boasting freeway frontage, will soon be available for purchase. The former Hot Wells Shooting Range site will have a new asking price of $7 million, reduced from its original listing price of $8.5 million. According to reports from the Houston Business Journal, the property was temporarily taken off the market due to a dispute between its owners and Harris County over access.

The ranch and land division at Compass is handling this highly sought-after listing. Kathy McKinney of Compass stated that there are numerous potential uses for this land including single or multifamily development, commercial development or even recreational purposes as it has been used in the past. The historic two-story Houston Hot Well Hotel & Sanitarium once accommodated up to 500 guests.

Conveniently located along U.S Highway 290 between Barker Cypress Road and Fry Road lies this expansive property which features three lakes and an artesian spring within its boundaries.
