SA Expansion: Coke Bottler to Invest $42M

Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages has plans to expand its bottling facility located on the East Side of San Antonio. The company is investing $42 million in a 170,000-square-foot warehouse expansion, which is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Headquartered in Dallas, Coca-Cola Southwest distributes products for Coca-Cola throughout Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arkansas. With almost 800 employees locally, the company has facilities across the state including locations in Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston as well as Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Last year saw a similar project announced for their Fort Worth plant with an investment of approximately $168 million to expand their warehouse space to 400,000 square feet.

Lamar Johnson Collaborative from Chicago will serve as the designer for this project in San Antonio.

Construction is scheduled to begin in March.
