Construction is currently underway on the third phase of a master-planned renovation at Friendship Village Tempe, a 50-acre senior living campus in Arizona. This phase involves the demolition of an existing structure to make way for a new five-story, 175,900-square-foot building.

The updated facility is being designed and built by Ryan Companies, with development led by LCS Development. Once completed, the community will be managed by LCS.

The new structure will feature 69 independent living apartments and two guest suites, along with below-grade parking. Residences will range from 909 square feet for one-bedroom units to a penthouse suite measuring 2,396 square feet. The fifth floor will include a number of resident amenities, such as the Del Fuego restaurant and lounge, complete with duckpin bowling lanes. Additional features will include a specially designed spa, clinic space, club rooms, and a group exercise area.

This building will connect to the previous two that were developed as part of the revitalization effort, which already include amenities like rooftop pickleball courts and Starfire, a full-service rooftop restaurant and microbrewery exclusive to residents.

The complete transformation of Friendship Village is set to be carried out in six phases, with full campus redevelopment expected by 2036.
