RXR Launches Leasing at Eighty Nine DeKalb in Downtown Brooklyn

RXR has officially launched leasing at Eighty Nine DeKalb, a new 30-story, all-electric residential tower situated at the intersection of Fort Greene and Downtown Brooklyn. The development includes 324 rental units with a mix of market-rate and affordable housing.

Eighty Nine DeKalb isn’t just a residential development – it also features 16,400 square feet of lifestyle amenities and 55,000 square feet of academic and office space dedicated to Long Island University (LIU). This includes three floors for LIU’s pharmacy program. First move-ins are slated for this fall.

“With leasing now officially underway, Eighty Nine DeKalb marks a significant milestone in RXR’s vision for residential living in Downtown Brooklyn,” said Rebecca D’Eloia, Executive Vice President of Development at RXR. “This project brings to market a collection of thoughtfully designed homes that blend modern interiors, premium finishes, and lifestyle-focused amenities, all within a vibrant neighborhood that captures the city’s energy.”

Out of the 324 residences, 98 units are set aside for middle-income households. The building features a variety of layouts ranging from studios to two-bedroom homes. Select units also offer private terraces and patios, providing additional living space and outdoor access.

The new development highlights RXR’s continued investment in creating environmentally responsible and amenity-rich urban housing in one of Brooklyn’s most dynamic neighborhoods.
