Rockland Trust: Financing the Bourne Affordable Housing Project

POAH has successfully secured $12.6 million in funding from Rockland Trust to construct Cape View Way, a 42-unit affordable housing project located in Bourne, MA. This development is designed with energy efficiency and accessibility in mind, offering one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. Sixteen of these units will have subsidies available for residents earning sixty percent of the area median income.

According to Kelly Nguyen, vice president of Commercial Banker at Rockland Trust: “We are honored to partner with POAH on Cape View Way and contribute towards filling the gap for affordable rental opportunities within this vibrant community.” With the current housing crisis on the rise, there is a growing need for more affordable housing options like Cape View Way.

The development will feature handicapped-accessible apartments as well as amenities such as a community room, library, outdoor space and complimentary basement storage. Its prime location in Sagamore Beach near the Bourne Fire Department headquarters adds even more appeal to this project.

This financing by Rockland Trust marks an important step towards addressing the increasing demand for affordable housing options without compromising quality or location.
