Rivian Automotive has officially announced its plans to begin construction on a factory in Georgia at the beginning of next year. The company will invest $5 billion into building a manufacturing complex east of Atlanta, with the goal of producing affordable electric vehicles for the mass market.
In addition to this exciting news, Rivian also revealed that it will be opening its eighth retail location in an urban development in Atlanta. This new showroom, located at Ponce City Market, spans 5,000 square feet and serves as both an educational space for customers and a place to conduct test drives.
The company has further expansion plans for Colorado, Texas and California within the coming months. Currently operating out of Illinois’s factory location , Rivian continues to make strides towards revolutionizing the electric truck industry.
