There is a significant timeline ahead, with an estimated two years until completion. Developer Riverside has announced plans to acquire the multi-acre surface parking lot adjacent to the 7600 Burnet office tower. The project will involve demolishing the existing Chase Bank and other tenants, while preserving the office building.
Riverside has applied for a demolition permit and assembled a development team to pave way for two apartment structures comprising of 300 units, with 10% designated as subsidized housing. This includes fully subsidizing 30 income-restricted apartments for individuals or families earning up to 80% of the regional median family income (MFI).
Construction on this project is expected to commence in early-2024 and take approximately two years. GDA Architects have been selected as designers for this venture.
