Richlands Shopping Center in Tazewell Sells for $4 Million

The Brickyard Shopping Center, located in Tazewell, Virginia, recently sold for $4.375 million. This 86,246-square-foot property has been a staple in the community since its construction in 1989 and is currently occupied by anchor tenants Food Lion and Big Lots.

However, challenges arose during the sale due to a short-term lease with Food Lion and concerns over the co-anchor tenant’s financial stability. Despite these obstacles, Zachary Taylor and Eric Abbott of Marcus & Millichap successfully marketed the property on behalf of the seller.

Ultimately, Dean Zang and David Crotts from Marcus & Millichap’s DC office were able to secure a buyer for this highly sought-after shopping center with assistance from Brian Hosey. The recent sale of Richlands Shopping Center showcases strong demand for commercial properties in Tazewell County without mentioning specific companies or organizations such as “Connect CRE” or “Connect LA.”
