Big Tasty Hospitality is on a mission to revive a once-thriving restaurant and bring new life to the small town of Wimberly, located in the Hill Country region southwest of Austin. The Cypress Creek Cafe was a beloved hotspot since its opening in 1937, but unfortunately burned down eight years ago. Since then, it has remained closed.
The developers are currently working towards obtaining necessary approvals for their project which includes a boutique hotel with 20 rooms spanning over 12,500 square feet. Additionally, there will be a Mediterranean restaurant covering an area of 3,500 square feet and a gourmet grocery store also occupying 3,500 square feet. Construction is expected to begin within six months with an estimated cost of $10 million and completion in two years.
Named after J.C Lane who originally built the building back in ’37,the hotel will be known as “Lane House”. The accompanying Mediterranean restaurant does not have an official name yet but promises delicious cuisine from that region. As for the grocery store,it will pay homage to its roots by being called “B.W Forester’s” after the original drugstore that occupied this space during the ’40s.
This exciting development has been making waves as it plans to revive one of Wimberly’s most famous attractions – bringing back memories for locals while attracting visitors from far and wide. The post Famous Wimberly Attraction Set for Revival appeared first on Connect CRE .
