"Revamping Gainesville Mall: A New Branch Development"

Branch Properties has announced its plans to transform Gainesville’s Lakeshore Mall into a modern, pedestrian-friendly destination. The redevelopment project will include a mix of residential and retail spaces, while still retaining some of the mall’s current key tenants. To kick off this extensive and multi-year process, Branch Properties will be filing for Development of Regional Impact (DRI) in order to gather input from the community.

Originally built in 1970, Lakeshore Mall currently spans over 492,798 square feet of retail space. However, as part of the redevelopment plan proposed by Branch Properties, popular retailers such as Dick’s Sporting Goods and Belk will remain open during construction with Dick’s Sporting Goods being relocated within the property.
