"Revamped Charlotte Mill Project: Office, Retail, and Housing Development"

Developers are discovering that historic flour mills and textile factories have a new lease on life. A growing trend across the country is to revitalize and repurpose these buildings, with one such project in Charlotte set to welcome tenants within the next year.

Known as The Thread, this adaptive reuse project by developer Keith Corp. has already secured its first tenant – Mayfair Hospitality will occupy 16,771 square feet of space for their unique attraction featuring a restaurant, bowling alley, mini golf course and live entertainment.

The initial phase of The Thread will offer 170,000 square feet of office space and 30,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. With an estimated investment of nearly $55 million for this phase alone,the developers plan to deliver it by December.

In the second phase,a mix-use development including loft apartmentsand additional retail is planned at an estimated costof $100 million.This exciting transformationofa decades-old mill in Charlotte showcases how old industrial spaces can be transformed into modern hubs for work,living,and leisure.
