Return to Office: Weyerhaeuser Headquarters Employees Required to Resume On-Site Work

Weyerhaeuser has ordered its headquarters employees in Seattle’s Pioneer Square to return to their offices three days a week, beginning July 18. CEO Devin Stockfish sent an email Monday to around 600 staff members, emphasizing the importance of communication, collaboration and personal connections for success. To maximize the benefit of being together, Weyerhaeuser is asking employees to come into the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

It has been over three years since Weyerhaeuser personnel have been absent from their workplace due to public safety concerns in Pioneer Square; however these issues were addressed last year when they reopened but did not require attendance at that time. In September 2021 company leaders stated they would not reopen until there was “significant and sustained improvements in neighborhood safety” which appears now successful as they are requiring attendance again starting this month.
