Valencia Hotel Group, in partnership with Division Hotel Management, has announced plans to construct a luxurious boutique hotel named Caravan Court on the site of the dilapidated Caravan Motel at 908 E. Division St. The proposed 145-key establishment will feature a retro-style “motor court” design inspired by mid-century aesthetics. Notably, the iconic Caravan Motor Hotel sign currently situated on the property will be preserved and incorporated into the new development.
The Arlington City Council has approved $4 million in funding for this project – $3 million for demolition expenses and an additional $1 million to support its development over a period of ten years. With an estimated cost of $45 million, construction is expected to be completed by late 2026.
According to city officials, this venture is projected to have a significant economic impact over its initial fifteen-year term through increased tax revenue from hotel occupancy as well as property and sales taxes. This exciting addition is set to revitalize Arlington’s hospitality scene while preserving its rich history.
