The Cobb-Marietta Coliseum and Exhibit Hall Authority has chosen a team of local firms to lead the expansion and renovation of their convention center.
Impact Development Management will act as the authority’s representative and project manager for the revamp, with Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio serving as project architect and Holder Construction overseeing construction. The development team plans to begin construction in fall 2025, with an expected completion date in early 2027.
Originally built by the authority in 1994, the Cobb Galleria Centre currently spans 320,000 square feet including exhibit space, a ballroom, meeting rooms,and executive boardrooms. On-site is also Galleria Specialty Shops which houses tenants such as HOKA Shoes and Subway kiosk.
The master plan for this expansion includes:
– Demolition of Galleria Specialty Shops & second floor meeting rooms
– Addition of new junior ballroom
– Increase in meeting space by 13
