"Renovated BU Kilachand Hall Now Open for Students"

Finegold Alexander Architects has recently completed the renovation of Kilachand Hall at Boston University. Working in collaboration with Consigli Construction Co., Inc. and Owner’s Project Manager LeftField, this 114,650-square-foot project aimed to enhance the student experience.

The reconstruction on the ninth floor focused on creating versatile spaces that promote collaboration, studying, and community engagement. The redesign also prioritized accessibility by including accessible rooms and implementing upgraded life safety measures. Sustainability was another key aspect of the renovation as it aimed for LEED Gold certification through energy-efficient systems, daylight utilization, and rooftop photovoltaics.
