CBRE has successfully arranged a lease renewal at 51W52, also known as Black Rock, in the bustling Midtown area. The renowned international law firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe has renewed their lease for floors 17 and 20 through 24, totaling to an impressive 144,312 square feet. Led by Howard Fiddle of CBRE’s expert team, the owner Harbor Group International (HGI) was represented while Orrick was represented by Mary Ann Tighe of CBRE in this significant renewal that spans over a period of fifteen years.
In recent times HGI invested $128 million towards modernizing the historic tower which stands tall at thirty-eight stories. This includes revamping lobbies and elevators along with upgrading interior spaces to provide tenants with top-notch amenities such as a tenant lounge, fitness center and private café.
According to T.Richard Litton Jr., President of HGI “The prime location and thoughtful restoration make it an extremely desirable offering.” Since acquiring the building in2021,HGI has been able to secure new leases as well as renewals for approximately half-a-million square feet including relocating its New York City headquarters within this iconic address-51W52.
