Micron Technology, a leading global company in semiconductor memory and storage, is teaming up with the City of Richardson to revamp and move its North Texas offices to the Richardson Innovation Quarter (The IQ). This move will bring around 250 well-paying jobs to the city. The IQ is renowned for fostering innovation, collaboration, and expansion.
Under this partnership, Micron has committed to leasing over 60,000 square feet of office space at Collins Crossing on 1500 N. Greenville Avenue. Additionally, they plan on investing approximately $30 million in the first two years towards tenant improvements as well as adding furniture fixtures and equipment.
According to Scott DeBoer from Micron: “As one of only a few U.S.-based manufacturers of memory semiconductors , we are thrilled about expanding our R&D capabilities in Texas with a focus on developing cutting-edge memory products.” With operations spanning across more than 30 major cities worldwide , Micron boasts an impressive global team consisting of over 50 ,000 employees .
