**Related Beal Tops Out Second Building in Boston’s Leiden Campus**

Related Beal has officially topped out Leiden Center II (LCII) at Innovation Square, a 345,000-square-foot life sciences facility located in Boston’s Raymond L. Flynn Marine Park. The building is slated to become a significant footprint in the city’s growing biotech landscape and will be fully occupied by Vertex Pharmaceuticals once completed.

Formally named the Jeffrey Leiden Center for Biologics, Cell and Genetic Therapies II, LCII is the third building developed by Related Beal in the marine park and the second to be fully leased by Vertex. Together with Leiden Center I (LCI), the two towers will form the Leiden Campus — a key milestone in completing Innovation Square and solidifying its status as a new hub for life sciences in Boston.

The development is being led by a joint ownership group consisting of Related Beal, Vertex, the Boston Real Estate Inclusion Fund, Kavanagh Advisory Group, and Mitsui Fudosan America. The construction effort is a collaboration between Related Beal Construction, Consigli Construction, and Janey Construction Management.

Completion of LCII is expected in early 2027. Upon delivery, the building is anticipated to be the first in Boston to achieve both LEED Platinum and Zero Carbon certification for life science facilities.
