Rehabilitated Mixed-Use Buffalo Building Now Open

The Barcalo Buffalo Living & Commerce project, a collaboration between Frizlen Group and BRD Construction, has successfully transformed a historic industrial facility into 116 mixed-use units with over 34,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor. Located at 225 Louisiana Street in Buffalo’s Old First Ward, this development was made possible through an equity investment from Chase to support its rehabilitation.

According to Tim Karp, head of Historic Tax Credits at Chase, it is an honor to be part of this project that will bring new life to a historic building in the community. The highly anticipated rehabilitation will not only provide much-needed housing but also contribute to the growth and development potential of the area. With its doors now open for the Buffalo community, we are excited about what lies ahead for this rehabilitated mixed-use building.
