Regency Centers has announced the start of construction for Oakley Shops at Laurel Fields, a new retail development anchored by Safeway in Oakley. The project will consist of approximately 79,000 square feet and is Regency’s first venture in this particular area of Northern California.

Safeway will occupy around 56,000 square feet at Oakley Shops and there will also be an additional 23,000 square feet dedicated to high-quality retail stores, restaurants and everyday necessities. According to Regency Centers’ representatives, negotiations are currently underway with potential tenants for these spaces and more announcements can be expected soon.

“We pride ourselves on our ability to identify opportunities for growth and success even when faced with challenges,” stated Craig Ramey, who serves as a development partner at Regency Centers. “Our track record speaks volumes about our dedication to our partners.”
