Regency Centers has recently completed the acquisition of land for a new shopping center, Cheshire Crossing, in Cheshire, CT. This upcoming development will span 152,000 square feet and will be anchored by Whole Foods Market. Along with the shopping center, there will also be 140 townhomes and carriage houses, 300 multi-family units and a Homewood Suites hotel comprising of 125 rooms.
According to Rebecca Wing, vice president of Investments at Regency Centers,”Cheshire Crossing is an excellent example showcasing our active presence in the region. Our expertise and strong relationships with retailers allow us to develop top-notch shopping centers from scratch.” She further added that their longstanding partnership with Whole Foods Market is set to continue as they take on this project as long-term stewards.
In addition to Whole Foods Market as its anchor tenant,the center will also feature TJMaxx occupying an area of23 ,000 square feet along with junior anchor space spanning over18 ,000 square feet.Five outparcels are planned along with38 ,000 square feetof inline shops making it a comprehensive retail destination for shoppers.
