"Refinancing of Austin Cambria Hotel Results in $48.7M Deal"

Hunter Hotel Advisors recently secured a $48.75 million recapitalization for the 212-key Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown. The financing was obtained through a collaboration between Stratus Development Partners and Choice Hotels International, with bridge financing provided by Benefit Street Partners. The funds were used to pay off the construction lender and establish an upfront reserve.

Scheduled to open in October 2023, the Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown is conveniently located near Rainey Street, making it an attractive destination for both leisure and business travelers. Its amenities include a rooftop restaurant and bar, 15,000 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center, and a resort-style pool.

This successful refinancing deal was led by Charlie Ryan and Adeel Amin from HUNTER’s capital markets team. As part of Choice Hotels’ upscale brand portfolio,Cambria hotels are known for their rooftop bars as well as full-service restaurants with bars.
