"Redevelopment Plans Announced for Outdated Addison Retail Center"

VVI has recently sold the Midway Square Shopping Center in Addison to ADLI Residential. The shopping center, located at 14833 Midway Road, will undergo redevelopment and become a part of AMLI’s Treehouse mixed-use development.

Originally built in the early 1980s, the Midway Square Shopping Center had become increasingly difficult to maintain.

The sale was brokered by Younger Partners Executive Vice President Ben McCutchin and Consultant Sam Kartalis.

According to McCutchin, “Due to its age and need for extensive updates, it was decided that putting the shopping center on the market would be best. It was believed that AMLI’s neighboring development would be a good fit.”

AMLI plans on demolishing the existing structures from over four decades ago and incorporating them into their AMLI Treehouse project south of this location.

Residents can expect move-ins for AMLI Treehouse as early as mid-2026 with completion expected by mid-2027. Upon completion, there will be a total of 570 luxury apartments along with standalone retail space totaling 12,500 square feet within this community.
