### Former Westshore Plaza Set for Redevelopment
CBRE is advising on the sale and redevelopment of **Westshore 54**, a **53.3-acre parcel** located at the intersection of **Kennedy Boulevard** and **Interstate 275** in Tampa’s **Westshore district**.
Currently home to **Westshore Plaza**, a **1,093,696-square-foot mall**, the site is set for a transformation. With **over 8.1 million square feet** of entitlements secured by **Washington Prime Group (WPG)**, the redevelopment plan envisions a dynamic mixed-use space featuring **office buildings, a medical center, retail, dining options, a hotel, and residential units**.
In early 2024, **Tampa City Council** granted final approval for WPG’s redevelopment plans. As part of this transition, WPG acquired **Macy’s Inc.’s real estate** in October 2024. Subsequently, **Macy’s announced its closure** of the Tampa location, along with multiple others nationwide, in early January. Additionally, **Dick’s Sporting Goods** vacated its anchor location at the mall in October 2024 to relocate to a new concept store at International Plaza.
