### Former Westshore Plaza Set for Redevelopment
CBRE is advising on the sale and redevelopment of **Westshore 54**, a **53.3-acre parcel** located at the intersection of Kennedy Boulevard and Interstate 275 in Tampa’s Westshore district.
Currently home to **Westshore Plaza**, a **1,093,696-square-foot mall**, the property is being repositioned for a major mixed-use development. **Washington Prime Group (WPG)** has secured entitlements for over **8.1 million square feet** of vertical development, which will include **office space, a medical center, shopping, dining, a hotel, and housing.**
In early 2024, Tampa City Council granted final approval for these redevelopment plans. As part of the transformation, WPG acquired **Macy’s Inc.’s department store real estate** in October 2024. Macy’s subsequently announced the closure of its Tampa location, along with several others nationwide, in early January. Additionally, **Dick’s Sporting Goods** vacated its anchor space at the mall in October 2024 to relocate to a new concept store at International Plaza.
