### Former DHS Headquarters to Be Converted Into Luxury Multifamily Community in D.C.

Willow Bridge Property Company has officially launched “1125,” a 264-unit luxury multifamily community, with a groundbreaking ceremony at 1125 15th St NW in Washington, D.C.

Previously home to the Department of Homeland Security near Thomas Circle, this project will transform a 50-year-old office building into modern residential units. The development will also feature more than 2,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space and below-grade parking.

Designed by architecture firm Hickok Cole, the planned 13-story high-rise will include studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom residences, ranging from 477 to 1,297 square feet. Situated just a few blocks from The White House, the community is directly across from Midtown Center, an 867,000-square-foot trophy office building that also includes nearly 40,000 square feet of retail space.

“This office-to-multifamily conversion project will contribute much-needed housing to the area, and we believe residents will appreciate the central location and convenient access to everything D.C. has to offer,” said Mark Kirchmeyer, EVP of Development at Willow Bridge.
