"Redevelopment Plan for Gainesville Mall Branch"

Branch Properties has announced plans to transform Gainesville’s Lakeshore Mall into a modern, pedestrian-friendly destination. The redevelopment project will include a mix of retail and residential elements, while also preserving key existing retailers. To begin this extensive process, Branch Properties will file for the Development of Regional Impact (DRI), allowing for community input.

Originally built in 1970, Lakeshore Mall currently offers 492,798 square feet of retail space. Key tenants such as Dick’s Sporting Goods and Belk will remain active throughout the redevelopment process; however, Dick’s Sporting Goods will be relocated on the property.
