Branch Properties has announced its plans to transform Gainesville’s Lakeshore Mall into a vibrant, walkable destination. The redevelopment project will include a mix of retail and residential elements, while also preserving key retail tenants. To kickstart the extensive planning process, Branch Properties will file for Development of Regional Impact (DRI), which encourages community involvement.

Originally built in 1970, Lakeshore Mall currently spans over 492,798 square feet of retail space. As part of the redevelopment plan, popular retailers Dick’s Sporting Goods and Belk will remain open during construction with Dick’s Sporting Goods being relocated on the property.
