Fiesta Mall, once a popular shopping and gathering destination in Phoenix, has faced challenges due to the rise of online retailers and the impact of Covid. However, there is hope for its revival as Verde Investments Inc. has proposed a mixed-use development at the site in Mesa.
According to reports from Phoenix Business Journal, Tempe-based Verde Investments Inc. has filed a rezoning application with Mesa city officials for their plans to transform Fiesta Mall into “Fiesta Redefined”. The proposed project includes up to 4,000 apartment units along with 750,000 square feet of office space and over 1 million square feet for commercial use including a hotel. Additionally, there will be more than half-a-million square feet dedicated as open space.
This redevelopment project aims to bring back Fiesta Mall’s former glory by offering diverse options for living spaces and business opportunities while also preserving ample green areas within the community. With this ambitious proposal from Verde Investments Inc., it seems that Fiesta Redefined could soon become an iconic landmark once again in Phoenix’s retail landscape.
