Red Sox Owners Unveil Plans for Office and Retail Project Near Fenway Park
Fenway Sports Group, owners of the Boston Red Sox, have released renderings for a new office and retail development proposed for 55 Lansdowne Street, situated between Fenway Park and the Massachusetts Turnpike. Partnering with WS Development, Fenway Sports Group aims to begin construction on the project in 2026, pending regulatory approvals.
The proposed building will be a seven-story, 129-foot structure encompassing up to 250,000 square feet. Plans also include an underground parking garage with capacity for 130 vehicles. According to The Boston Globe, the development is part of the larger Fenway Corners Project, a multi-building initiative featuring a mix of office, research and development, commercial, residential, restaurant, and retail spaces centered around Fenway Park.
A spokesperson for Fenway Corners noted that while a formal agreement is still in progress, the current vision is for the new building to primarily house the main offices of the Red Sox and Fenway Sports Group, who are expected to occupy the majority of the available space.
