Realterm, a transportation-focused investment manager based in Annapolis, raised $532 million in co-investment capital for a $1.2 billion portfolio recapitalization of a 61-asset Intermodal and industrial outdoor storage (IOS) portfolio. Strategically located cross-dock truck terminals, drayage yards and secure storage sites facilitating freight movement were included in the portfolio to capitalize on the expansion of the global direct-to consumer supply chain.
Stephen Panos, Realterm’s managing director and senior fund manager highlighted this potential within the Intermodal and IOS segment due to properties being situated near urban cores with convenient access to major interstates. This strategic move has allowed Realterm to take advantage of increased demand for these types of assets as well as benefit from their prime locations across multiple markets throughout North America.
