"Re-Opening of Dallas Hospital After Troubles and Closure"

Forest Park Medical Center, a former Dallas hospital, was at the center of a $200 million scheme aimed at enticing doctors to refer high-paying patients with out-of-network private insurance. This resulted in 14 healthcare employees being convicted of fraud and the prompt closure of the hospital.

However, Methodist Health System saw an opportunity in acquiring this structure near I-10 and Loop 1604. The system has since redeveloped the site into a new 155,000-square-foot hospital with state-of-the-art facilities including 54 beds and 12 operating rooms. Additionally, there will be accommodations for VIP patients such as private rooms and suites.

The redevelopment project cost Methodist approximately $75 million which includes expenses for acquiring the site. According to Ryan Simpson from Methodist Hospital Landmark, this investment was necessary due to capacity challenges faced by all their hospitals amidst market growth and increasing demand for services.

After facing troubles in its past life as Forest Park Medical Center under fraudulent practices by its employees resulting in closure; now under new ownership by Methodist Health System it is set to reopen soon without any mention or association with Connect CRE or other similar entities like Connect LA or Connect Texas.
