**Queen Creek Battery Factory Set to Open in Summer 2026**

LG Energy Solution Ltd. (LGES) is progressing with construction of its highly anticipated battery manufacturing plant in Queen Creek, Arizona. The facility, which represents a $3.2 billion investment, is slated to open in the summer of 2026.

Located northeast of Ironwood and Germann roads, the one-million-square-foot factory is approximately 60% complete. Once operational, it is expected to create 1,500 new jobs in the area. Originally, a second facility designed for energy storage systems was planned as part of this development, but that portion of the project has been put on hold.

The primary function of the Queen Creek site will be to produce batteries for electric vehicles, including Rivian Automotive Inc.’s upcoming R2 model. These vehicles will be manufactured at Rivian’s plant in Illinois.

In 2024, LGES partnered with Honeywell to implement advanced building automation technologies at the Queen Creek facility. Additionally, LGES recently secured a $4.3 billion agreement to supply energy storage system batteries to Tesla Inc.

LG Energy Solution is a global leader in lithium-ion battery production, serving multiple sectors including electric vehicles, mobility, information technology, and energy storage systems.
