A sizable headquarters lease by a Blackstone-owned digital infrastructure platform at a transit-oriented mixed-use campus reinforces investor focus on office assets with strong connectivity and clustered corporate tenancy.

Comstock Holding Companies has secured a long-term office lease with QTS Data Centers at 1800 Reston Row Plaza within the Reston Station development. The agreement covers 77,000 square feet of space and will house the company’s headquarters operations. QTS is taking the full 11th, 12th, and 13th floors of the building, consolidating its presence into a multi-story block of contiguous space.

QTS Data Centers, an independent data center operator owned by Blackstone, is positioning its headquarters within a large, mixed-use environment at Reston Station. The lease reflects the company’s decision to locate key corporate functions in an office setting that aligns with its broader digital infrastructure platform. While financial terms and the precise lease duration were not disclosed beyond the description as a long-term commitment, the transaction marks a sizable headquarters lease for the property.

In a statement accompanying the announcement, QTS Co-Chief Executive Officer Tag Greason highlighted the role of location and connectivity in the headquarters decision. He cited Reston Station’s premier location, accessibility, and the strength of its business community as core reasons the development is well suited to the company’s headquarters needs. His comments underscore the importance of transit access and a robust corporate ecosystem for large office users.

Comstock’s Chief Operating Officer, Tim Steffan, emphasized that QTS aligns with the type of innovative, high-growth organizations that have been drawn to Reston Station. He pointed to the project’s prime location, premium office offerings, and fully integrated live-work-play environment as competitive advantages that continue to attract major companies. The headquarters lease adds another major corporate name to the tenant roster at the development.

Reston Station is described as a mixed-use, transit-oriented development spanning approximately 90 acres. The project includes multiple office buildings that function as global, national, or regional headquarters locations for several large enterprises. Existing corporate occupants at Reston Station include Google, Booz Allen Hamilton, ICF International, and CARFAX, underscoring the development’s role as a hub for technology, consulting, and data-focused businesses.

The addition of QTS Data Centers’ headquarters further concentrates corporate activity within Reston Station and reinforces the appeal of transit-oriented, mixed-use environments for major office users. With its combination of multiple headquarters tenants and integrated uses, the development continues to serve as a significant employment center within Reston and a key location for firms focused on technology and digital infrastructure.
