"PV Manufacturer Relocating Headquarters to Houston and Constructing Factory"

TMEIC Corporation Americas, a leading manufacturer of PV inverters and energy storage systems, has announced plans to relocate its headquarters from Roanoke, Virginia to the Houston area in March 2025. The company will also be building a new 144,000-square-foot facility in Brookshire, located approximately 40 miles from Houston.

With over 50 GW of renewable energy systems installed worldwide as of July 2024, TMEIC is a major player in the industry. In North America alone since entering the market in 2010, TMEIC has already installed over 28 GW.

The new Brookshire facility is set to begin operations in October of that same year and will be located near TMEIC’s existing manufacturing plant for uninterruptible power supplies and medium voltage drives in Katy,Texas. Initially capable of producing up to9GW annually with potential for future expansion based on market demand,the factory is expectedto create around300 local jobs accordingtoa company spokesperson.This move marks an exciting development for both TMEICandthe growing renewable energy sectorin Texas.
