"Proposed Mixed-Use Development near Glendale's Entertainment District"

A new mixed-use development is being proposed by SimonMed near the Glendale sports and entertainment district. The project would consist of a 239-unit apartment complex and 13,000 square feet of office space. It will be developed in two phases, with two four-story buildings, a clubhouse, and various amenities such as pools and seating areas.

The Phoenix Business Journal has reported that TriArc Architecture & Design will serve as the architect for this project. In addition to the residential and office spaces, there will also be a standalone retail building along 99th Avenue that could potentially house galleries, medical offices, coffee shops or microbreweries.

This development is part of larger plans for the area by the city of Glendale. They are currently preparing 200 acres for a master-planned commercial development which will include offices, retail areas hotels, and high-density housing. This multi-phase project is expected to take several years to complete.
